Product Description
Topaz Mat, although worked in traditional Torchon Lace has shaped edges which gives it an interesting, up to date feel. Worked in a medium/thick thread to give a firm texture. e.g. DMC Dentelle 80.
Although Topaz Mat is worked in Torchon Lace the shape gives it a different look. It is worked in the traditional ‘triangular’ method using extra passive pairs in the outer braid which are taken in and out of the main pattern. A thick gimp thread (Perle 5) outlines the honeycombe hearts.
Square mats can also be stiffened and shaped over a glass mould to give a shallow dish.
Pack contains picture of finished item, sheet with a few working instructions, stitches used, equipment needed, suggested threads and a copy of the pricking.
