MARTLETS LACEMAKERS in Horsham, West Sussex was formed in 1987 by a group of lacemakers in Henfield. From a simple suggestion by their Lace tutor about setting up a Group to draw in lacemakers from a wider area, the rest as they say is history. We are on course to celebrate our 25th birthday this year in November 2012. We meet at six times a year, bi-monthly on the second Saturday from 10am – 4pm. We are a happy and vibrant group with 45 members with ages ranging from 12 to over 90 years old! Not only do we spend the day lacemaking, we have competitions, lace displays, workshops, Suppliers and Speakers.
